Gabriel didn't have to think about it, but that was all he was thinking about. It was only a matter of time before they were present in Everett. They had already found them otherwise.
His gaze lingered on her for a short moment before he turned away and looked back up at the ceiling. He knew that everything was going to get much harder and he was readying himself for that. Kaitlyn was already talking to Azazeal, there was nothing Gabriel could do about that and he figured he needed to talk to him too. Feel him out because Gabriel wanted to be certain that if Kaitlyn was led to believe the fallen angel would help, then that meant he would.
Gabriel closed his eyes when he felt a sharp pain in his head, but just as quick as it came, it had gone and he opened his eyes, getting himself ready for more pain, but nothing came. He turned his back toward Kaitlyn and pulled the covers up around him.
It was probably just remnants of whatever darkness he took from the overgrown zombie so he didn't think much of it.
