Spencer Hastings thinks you need a babysitter (worry) wrote in zombieslogs,
The hunters with animal instincts sounded a little sketchy to Spencer but that could mean anything. And if Emily trusted them, then Spencer had no choice but to trust them too. She sure as hell trusted Emily's judgment over the judgment of Katherine's vampires. And since she didn't have a better idea she handed the jacket over. She would want it back but if it would help her find Toby then she could give it up for now.
It was difficult to pull Spencer's very single minded focus away from Toby and to Emily's question about Katherine's but she eventually managed to do it. She shrugged at the question.
"It's an exercise in self control, Em," she admitted. Katherine actually wasn't that hard of a task master and she treated Spencer and Matt well. But neither one of them trusted her and they both hated her. Spencer hated her on principle for what she had done to Matt. She didn't care if it was years ago and everyone including Matt had moved past it. To Spencer it was fresh news and she was angry about it.
"But you know I can't do laundry and sweep floors. I'll go insane. I thought maybe I could eventually set up some kind of school for the kids who haven't graduated yet. That's why I collected all those text books. But nobody seems interested in schooling and I never even graduated high school myself so how can I be a teacher?"
Which was bullshit because Spencer Hastings could teach any one of those classes in high school. She and Andrew were duking it out for valedictorian but Spencer was confident she could win it. If there was something to be known, Spencer would know it. It was just the way she worked.
