Elena was quite defensive for someone who wasn't around when it had happened. Then again, Elijah didn't have all the details, he wasn't willing to choose how to handle it when the facts weren't there. He had no doubt that Elena was being truthful in her word that Klaus and Rebekah had provoked the prison. He didn't see any other reason his siblings were in Everett if not for the doppelganger herself, Or rather, more so Klaus. Rebekah he felt could honestly care less at this point.
"You will not take responsibility for others mistakes, Elena." His voice was hard, yet calm and to the point. He refused to blame Elena. He wanted to know what he was walking into and he felt that he had heard enough. He had told Caroline that he would see to this truce and more so if Elijah felt that Klaus would act against it, he would step in. It was more for the safety of Elena and her brother, but by default, the others would be protected as well. The rest of the prison was not his concern as of right now.
"I trust your honesty, Elena. I will see to it that Klaus upholds his end of this truce he put forth." They started walking again, back around toward the front slowly and carefully. "Elena, if you keep me informed from your end, I will keep you informed with mine. I do not wish to be attacked by the prison's magic, if one should make any more mistakes," he said easily, offering his own line of communication with Elena.
