Neal kept talking to Shannon over the radio until he saw her for himself. Dimitri ran ahead and the others tried to keep up, but when he did see her off in the distance, he smiled instantly and sped up to meet her. The worry didn't vanish, but relief spread through him. He hugged her fiercely, returning the kiss and finally ended with a loud sigh. She didn't seem hurt or like she'd been out in the storm the entire time. Neal gave her face a once over and mentally said he'd give her another once over later when they didn't have to worry about the cold.
"I've have a few ways I think you can make it up to me. I saved us a bottle." He kept her close even when the others caught up and asked where she'd taken cover. Her answer was not one he would have expected and he suddenly wondered how the hell she got out of there alive. The last time he'd seen and spoken to Rebekah she'd tried to kill him.
"She saved you and just let you go?" She nodded and Neal kept his thoughts to himself about that. She hadn't had to save her or let her go. No one would ever have been able to connect the two of them. Neal had thought he'd seen a different side of Rebekah when he'd known her and he knew she'd felt betrayed when he was outed by Gossip Girl. It wouldn't ever be the same for them, but he held onto her actions quietly to himself to talk about with Shannon later.
Hugging her close to him, Neal looked around their group. "Let's go home." It was about time they got out of the cold and inside the prison walls.
