"I'm going with you." Neal didn't wait a single second to get up from his bed and start pulling on extra clothes. He had no idea if it was still snowing outside or not, but the temperatures were still freezing. Extra socks, a couple shirts, gloves, heavy coat, and the works. The party had come and gone and it was obvious that people were stuck outside. Serena and Nate never came. Shannon definitely didn't make that last dance. Peter had tried to keep Neal from worrying, but he could read his partner just as easily as it worked the other way around.
Fully dressed in layers and ready to go, Neal didn't say much else but followed the other two through the hallways and towards the exit. People were still trying help clear the snow and discreetly Neal looked around for Peter. He wasn't going to make it two steps outside that gate if Peter saw him.
"I have no idea if Peter is on duty right now, but if he is then I'm going to slip around the back and find a way out. I may not wear an anklet anymore, but I think that two mile radius still stands."
The prison yard wasn't crowded at all, but some were out in the snow now that it was manageable and he saw others pulling sentry duty in their towers. From where he stood he didn't see Peter, but that didn't mean he couldn't pop out and tell him to go to his room.
