The cold did not bother Eric. As a vampire he was perfectly accustomed to the cold. Even as a human he had lived in Sweden which was not known for its warm climates. His travels as a viking had not brought him to much warmer places either. It was strange, settling in the bayou for so long but Louisiana was filled with fang bangers and he and Pam enjoyed it there. But the return to cold did not bother the ancient vampire.
He was out for a walk. The snow storm was providing wonderful cover from the sun, Eric's greatest weakness. He often worried about a time when he wouldn't be able to fulfill her obligations because of the sun. If anyone were to invade Katherine's home during the day he could try to help her but he would have to stick to the shadows and even then he would be weakened.
The wind blew hard against his back, his hands tucked in his pockets as he walked down the street in downtown Everett. Things were quiet. If anyone lived in the town they were shut in tight for the evening. All except for one man. He caught Eric's attention not just because he was out in the snow seemingly unbothered by it but because he was tall, nearly as tall as Eric. Eric was used to being the tallest one around that was until he met the giant that was Dimitri Belikov.
"Hello," he said amicably. The wind howled so it would be difficult for the other man to hear unless he had enhanced senses. Eric had a sense that he might considering he was out and about. Eric narrowed his eyes and recognized the man from the network. He immediately straightened his posture. "Loki." He was in the presence of a god after all.
