Preoccupying himself with the search for food, Dimitri left to look inside the kitchen cabinets and was mostly greeted with a lot of dust and cobwebs. He reached up to the top cabinet and luckily found a half empty box of crackers. He shook the box and sniffed, not impressed with his find, but there wasn't much else to choose from. The power was off in the cabin, but when he opened the refrigerator it still felt cool inside like the power had recently gone off. A carton of orange juice and a few other items sat inside.
"A little, but I think you'd probably prefer Viktoria's cooking at its Russian finest before feasting on these." Joining her again by the fire, Dimitri held up the carton of juice and box of crackers. "There's a little more in the refrigerator, but this was the best I found."
Even as he tried to relaxed the slightest bit, he was still stealing glances outside of the cabin through the windows. More and more and more snow came down. He could barely see much of the woods around them it was coming down so thick.
"Here, you eat a few of these and I'll help tend the fire." Passing her the items of food, he knelt in front of the fireplace and held out his hands to help warm them a little. There was a fire poker on the floor and he adjusted the paper she'd added, making sure all of it lit up in flames.
"This is a blizzard that even the village would be surprised by," he said quietly.
