Who: Shannon and Rebekah What: Shannon followed Bonnie and ends up getting more than she bargained on When: Sunday as the snow gets back (her radio transmissions after the net post will show up here) Where: deep in the wilderness Warnings: With these two? Possibly
Bonnie was moving with a purpose, not even bothering to sign out, so Shannon quickly signed them both out. She tried to catch up with the other girl, but she was moving so fast. In fact, Shannon was pretty sure she used her mind to open the gates. What in the hell? She called up to Sentry as she followed after her. "I've got her and my radio."
All Shannon planned to get was more wine glasses and anything that could be used for Nate and Serena's party. It was going to be a quick and easy trip out and back into the prison. This party was going to be something else. Neal's wine was unlike anything you could find in town. Not only did it taste so damn good going down, it also packed one hell of a punch. With all the stress going on, a party celebrating something good seemed like a good plan. However, Bonnie was heading in the opposite direction than Shannon was. She trudged through the snow and called out to her. "Bonnie! Bonnie, where the hell are you going?"
There was nothing but silence. It wasn't until they were far past the prison and into the woods that she began to feel strange. She had her own Scythe with her, but it was beginning to feel a little heavy to carry. Which was damn weird given she was The Slayer, and the weapon was made for her. Like literally for her since Faith still had the originals. The Scythe shouldn't be hard for her to carry. It was supposed to fit like a glove. "BONNIE. WHAT IN THE FUCK?"
The snow was coming down in sheets now and she could barely see in front of her. It was getting harder to trudge through the however many fucking feet they were moving through now. Shannon wasn't used to this much snow. She wasn't used to feeling so damn drained either. It was like something or someone was taking something out of her. Just as that thought hit her, she heard the familiar moans from not far away. She could barely see them, but there were three zombies coming her way. Instinctively, she moved into action. A little slower than she would have liked, but she was still a force to be reckoned with.
The Scythe was heavy, but it did it's job. Three heads lopped off and when Shannon went to look at Bonnie the other girl was gone. Cursing under her breath, she left a net post when she tried unsuccessfully to find her buddy. After that, her phone went silent. The net couldn't be accessed and she cursed loudly.
Moving as fast as she could, which was still slower than she expected, she tried to find her way in the wilderness, only to see everything was white. It was impossible to know which way was West or North or whatever. The more she walked, the more confused she became. On the radio she left a message hoping someone would hear her in case they couldn't access the net either. "It's Shannon. Sos. My buddy has fucking disappeared and I think something may be wrong with me. My Scythe is hard to carry. I'm not sure where I am in the woods, but I also don't know where Bonnie is. Can two teams come out or something? One or her and me? I have to try to find shelter. Tell Neal..." she paused as she suddenly heard moaning. There was more than three zombies this time. Fuck her life. Swallowing hard, she said quietly but with determination, "I'll be back in time for the last dance."
The radio was cut off as the Slayer moved toward the moans surrounding her. This was a hoard, she was cold and wet and couldn't even feel her toes right now. The Scythe was gripped tight in her hands as she began to swing and fight as best as she could. One of the zombies managed to knock her back, shocking her as she hit her head into a tree. She was a Slayer. The zombie shouldn't have been able to knock her back. Why did she feel so off?
Just as they were closing in, she caught a vision of what appeared to be an angel. Long blond hair, light eyes, and a look on her beautiful face like she was here to avenge the innocent. If Shannon had been a bit more clear headed, she would have realized it was Rebekah, and that she might be there to watch the Slayer get devoured by the hoard. The hoard that she was still fighting even though she was getting backed deeper against the tree, swinging the Scythe in desperation, hoping not to get bit. Because if they managed to bite her? That was it.
Show was over, and another Slayer was down.
Shannon wasn't going out without a fight, but she wouldn't say no to a little angelic assistance.
