Gabriel knew they couldn't go back in the storm. Neither of them could handle it and truth be told, it was luck that Kait had found the inn. It was just as her drawing was he noticed, but he hadn't mentioned that yet. It was her gift, it was what she did and how she expressed her visions, but they were getting more better, more articulate.
He watched Kait's eyes when she said that her and Gabriel were still working on it. The look she had was of loss, but they still had their link. They were out there somewhere, but it was easier for Gabriel to think of them as dead, more so he could keep Kait from going back to the island. It was a lost cause to him and right now, his main concern was her.
