Stop talking. It was easy to try, harder to get Kaitlyn to listen to him. But he sat there on the couch, watching them both go back and forth. It seemed that Claire had been here for awhile. She looked healthy and doing good for herself throughout all of this. But that still didn't mean that Kaitlyn had to go and talk about everything they had been through, at least their day today. It was evident what they went through. Leave it at that.
He knew they weren't getting back to Canada, that much was certain, mainly because he knew the place was over run with zombies. But Kait had such hope to get back there that he would take her if that's what she wanted, which it was. He just didn't look forward to the day when they finally got there and there was nothing left.
The lights flickered for only a moment, but the power didn't go out. He frowned, looking out the window. Finally, he reached over and grabbed his mug, taking a sip of it.
"How many others are here right now?" He asked out of the blue, interrupting their conversation.
