Kaitlyn was shivering by the time they got inside, both of them shaking out of their wet jackets. Kaitlyn was still soaked though. She had a change of clothing in her bag that she could change into. She hoped the snow hadn't soaked through the material of her back pack. They both tried to shake off the snow near the door as they hung up jackets and tried to shake all the ice bits out of Kaitlyn's hair.
She noticed the sign on the wall and realized that they were in some kind of inn. That was what the vision had been. Kaitlyn was meant to show up here. Her third eye had seen what her normal vision couldn't until it was time. This place had offered them shelter against the storm and the zombies outside. Kaitlyn was grateful.
"Thank you," she said as she moved towards the blonde girl. She looked to be right around the same age as them. "For letting us in. We just need a place to wait out the storm. I'm Kaitlyn and this is Gabriel." She introduced them because she knew that Gabriel wouldn't. He wasn't exactly the most polite person on earth.
Gabriel walked towards her and she reached out and took his hand. Zombies were the main threat out there but humans could still be surprisingly dangerous. Even a tiny one like the girl at the inn. There were still some decent humans out there but it had been a really long time since Kait and Gabriel had come across one.
