Hesitating briefly when Buffy's voice changed, Dawn then reached out and carefully lay her hand on her sister's to help her calm down a little. "I don't think she is, because even she would have to know that she'd have to take care of them, keep them alive...maybe even leave a couple able to send messages to her, or something." At the question, Dawn gave a nod. "Yeah. And I know that having something of the person's can help with spells like that."
Dawn lapsed into silence for a moment, then looked up when Buffy mentioned Connor, blinking a little at the change of conversation. For a moment, it was almost like old times - two sisters sitting, talking about boys and just...being. Her lips flickered into an almost smile, and an actual blush colored her cheeks briefly as she glanced down at the floor. The toes of her left boot scraped against the bottom of Buffy's cell, and she grew almost sad, thinking that Buffy deserved at least some kind of rug against the cold even if she was a vampire.
"I don't know about that...we just hang out. Spar and stuff." She hesitated, then looked over at her sister again, a little confusion in her gaze as she spoke the next words. "Spike said he called me beautiful."
