She didn't look the same. Buffy took a good look at her sister. She was different. Grown up. Did she get taller? She's totally not allowed to do that. Buffy licked her lips to try and say something else, but in an instant Dawn all but flung herself at Buffy, wrapping her arms around her.
She paused, staring ahead. Closing her eyes, her arms wrapped around Dawn just as tight. They stayed like that for awhile, not saying anything. Buffy tried to keep her emotions close to her, but her stupid eyes started watering up with stupid cold tears and she swallowed hard, not wanting to let go.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered into her sisters hair. "For everything. God, I was so stupid." Stupid being letting Angelus get the best of her. Letting him take that away. He took everything away from her so easily and now she was here, picking up the pieces. Knowing her life was technically over. Once Glory was taken care of, it was the end. She could barely look at herself. Malachi helped her. Vik helped her. God, even Angel of all people were trying, but there words were just words. Buffy knew the truth.
