At the comment, Dawn blinked, then glanced down at her hair. She lifted a few strands slightly to examine them. "It's weird, when I look in the mirror. Like...it's not really me looking back?" Shaking her head after a moment, she dropped her hair and slowly looked back at her sister, blue eyes meeting green, trying to read what was there. She hadn't come there to discuss hair...she didn't really know why she'd come there. In fact, she should probably just leave her alone, but...she couldn't make her legs obey her and turn to walk away. What they did do, instead, she didn't even realize until it was happening.
In a sudden dark blur, Dawn had crossed the small cell to Buffy and threw her arms around the blonde. She hadn't planned on doing this, but it seemed like she couldn't help it, and it only took a heartbeat for her to tighten her arms in a rib-cracking hug and press her face down into Buffy's shoulder, shutting her eyes. This probably wasn't the best way to say hi to your sister who was, technically, a vampire, but at the moment? Dawn didn't care if Buffy ripped open her throat. She'd denied herself touching the blonde before, but she just couldn't resist this time.
