Who: Connor and Illyria What: discussing what Illyria can do to cockblock Glory When: last nightish Where: Cell block G Warnings: Nah, I don't think she'll beat on him like she likes to do with Spike
Connor was stressed the hell out. Trying to keep Dawn safe on top of keeping the prison safe was his top priority. Mourning Jess was something he hadn't found the time to do. Probably because every time he came close to thinking about how she died and would never be back, he would throw himself into another task. He was his father's son in every possible way. Keep moving and deal with the fall out when the world was safe. The fact the world would never be safe was beside the point.
The Original Vampires being back and Alec's actions in making that happen only made him more infuriated. He couldn't fault Faith for the choice she made. He could fault himself for not taking Alec out when he had the chance. Back before he got his vampire girlfriend back. Now trying to kill him would only reign down holy hell on the prison, and Connor couldn't risk his need for revenge causing the innocents who lived in the prison to pay the price. Emily had paid enough. He was worried about his Dad being out there, and how Buffy was adjusting to the soul without Angel being nearby to walk her through. He was worried about how Spike was handling Buffy being so close, and he was worried that Faith was beginning to fray around the edges.
There was something to worry about everywhere he turned, and he couldn't help but wonder how the hell his dad and Buffy had managed to deal with this back when they were in Sunnydale and LA. He wanted to be able to keep Faith on her feet for the Prison's sake and her own sake. He felt confident that the others in the Council wanted to do the same. It just never seemed to fucking stop. So trying to get the groups together to get used to fighting was just another way to try and figure out how to take down a Hell God. Because of course there was a Hell God. Zombies was just the appetizer.
When Illyria checked in, Connor knew he needed to talk to her alone. There was something she could do that others could not. She was the only one they could trust to handle it and he hoped that Wesley's influence on her would be enough to make her say yes. That and that he doubted she would bow to Glory. Illyria was a God in her own right. Or had bad. He couldn't keep it straight. Too many memories colliding his head. He was a walking stress headache and nerves exposed at this point.
Meeting her in cell block G was to give them privacy. Most people only came down here if they wanted to get laid without being seen. He had no intention on being interrupted so he figured his fierce expression and tense stance would make anyone who might happen down, turn on their heel and head in another direction. He doubted his stance would have any influence on Illyria at all. So he stood statue still and waited for her to join him.
