Glory’s looks were part of why people tended to underestimate her, at least when they first met her. They would get to learn very quickly that underestimating her would get them absolutely nowhere. Evil and selfish were two things that described Glory to a T. There wasn’t going to be anything that would really make Glory behave, so the dear Captain would do good to save his breath.
Glory did some underestimating of her own, because she hadn’t really thought about him using the shield as a weapon. A shield was a…well, SHIELD, after all. You use it to protect, not beat the hell out of someone with it. He managed to catch her a little off guard when he kicked at her ankles, knocking her a little off balance and getting that message to Alec through, because she didn’t catch it at all. It didn’t matter, though. She was able to get right back on him.
“Really? Then why bother defending her so much?” she asked nonchalantly as she smashed his face so hard into the tree that it caused the wood to crack and send the tree crashing into the woods. “Just haven’t made a move yet? Too bad for you, then. She probably won’t be interested with me bashing in your pretty face like that.” She didn’t realize that he healed quicker than humans and didn’t really scar. Lucky for him, huh?
She got distracted by the shot hitting the tree, getting knocked back a few steps but otherwise appearing fine when she shield bounced off her. She looked down at her dress and realized that the shield had cut a strip of fabric across it. “Are you serious?” she asked, frowning for a moment before turning and looking up at him again. “Do you know how hard it is to get designer clothing in this pit of an existence?” With a shriek, she launched herself at him, now done with playing. She grabbed him by his hair before lifting him up above her shoulders, tossing him like a rag doll and throwing him across the clearing that they had managed to create, taking out at least one tree with his body as well.
