“Did you intend to carry around a bull’s eye or are you just tragic on the fashion accessories?” Glory asked as she looked the pair over. The woman was human, through and through, but there was something a little bit different about the man that caught her interest…for about three seconds. Then Glory was just irritated again that they had interrupted her catching the fawn that she was supposed to bleed dry.
No matter. The woman had a point. She could always get another sacrifice, and humans were always much better to sacrifice for spells than animals. Hell, if she could catch the guy, he’d be even better. Either one of them would do, though. Besides, it was what they got for interrupting her, right? Of course, you don’t interrupt a god when she’s getting her sacrifice on! Any idiot on this stupid rock should know that.
In contrast to the two in front of her, Glory’s stance was relaxed as she walked toward them, tossing the knife in the air and catching it by the hilt every time. It was feigned nonchalance until she was ready to strike, but it would do just the same. “Most people don’t exactly hang around in the middle of the woods in the middle of winter. Humans are kind of freaked out by the elements and the dead hanging around trying to eat them,” she pointed out.
She had a guess as to who they were looking for, though. She had heard the big brute of a thing running through the woods some time ago. Hell, when you’re giant and green, even a Hellgod has to give you a little notice. She had decided to stay out of his warpath just because she wasn’t interested in having a tree thrown at her. She didn’t want to get her hair messed up.
“Too bad that you’re not going to find whoever the hell you’re looking for, though,” she said with a shrug. “I’m still in need of a sacrifice, after all, and either one of you would do just nicely,” she said, pointing the tip of her knife at both of them to emphasize her point.
