Normally, Maria might have flinched a little at the evident concern. She honestly wasn't used to it after years of dealing with, at best, an indifferent father and then spending years in the military, where you were supposed to take care of yourself, but being with Bruce had softened her just a tad. Just enough for her not to flinch at it, anyway.
When he stepped inside, she shut the door behind him. "Can I get you something to drink?" she offered. "I've got some bottled water and I can make some tea." She also had some alcohol, but she knew from files that Steve couldn't get drunk because of the serum, plus it just seemed a little early to be breaking out any sort of alcohol that she had on hand.
She'd rather someone be honest with her than dance around the edge. "I'd be happy to head out with you." Despite what she wanted to do, she knew that she should head out with him. Hopefully, they might find a new lead, but even just getting her out of this place would do her some good. "Right now, I think what I need is getting out and being around someone else," she admitted with a self deprecating smirk.
