"Hey lady", she replied, a rare, big grin forming on Max's lips and she wrapped her arms around the other woman, holding her close, tightening the embrace briefly before releasing her and stepping back. The other transgenic looked good, happy, and definitely less stressed than their last run-in around New Years. Looking around, taking in the rather serene, calm setting, the woods, and Tinga circling the them lazily, Max could tell why Jondy had picked this stop to settle. It was far the hectic, brutal, and tough world of the Projects she had formerly made her home in. It was definitely tempting to Max, especially after her talks with both Faith and Alec. No matter what, Max knew someone would die and someone would never forgive her. The woods were certainly tempting to her, calm and peaceful, and she could be with her sister all the time. The two could grow close together, be a family, but Max knew it could never be that simple. Alec had killed and endangered a lot of people and even if she stayed here, took his side, he was far from stopping the violence or keeping the Originals from doing deadly damage to Faith and the prison. Max couldn't be good at "ignorance is bliss" anymore; Logan had changed all of that and now she couldn't shut her eyes and turn away from the pain of the world around her. She had to step up and as much as she said she didn't give a shit about being a hero, it appeared her conscience wouldn't let her be anything else.
At Jondy's question, Max shook her head. "No, I'm not here for Alec", she answered. "I'm here to see my sister." Max put Alec ahead of everything else, including her other family here, but with the slow, painful realization that she might have lost Ben's twin for good, the transgenic was determined not to lose someone else. She had Faith and the prison, but Jondy had lived through everything she had and Alec had too. They shared a bond, an understanding, that was unique to them. No matter what, she'd never stop caring about them. She just...couldn't. Alec was making it hard for her though, very hard, and she knew that if he killed someone again, went after Faith, or worse, she'd have to step up. Regardless, there would be a choice, but she only hoped she wasn't going to lose Jondy too.
