Who: Max and Jondy What: Max tracks her sister to the woods where she's made a home with the Originals. Where: Woods and then the cabins Warnings: None.
It had taken Max a bit of time and use of her snooping skills, but eventually she figured out where her sister had decided to move to from her former abode in the Projects. Tossing her signature leather jacket over her tank top, the X5 headed out of the apartment she'd been sharing with Alec. It didn't take her long to reach the street and from there, a few long, powerful strides, had her arriving on the outskirts of the woods. Knowing what she knew, perhaps she should have been more cautious about entering the woods and making her way to probably one of the more feared destinations in area, but Max was also not a normal young woman and as powerful as she knew these Original vampires to be, when it came to her family, there wasn't anything Max feared except losing them. You hurt the people she cared about, you were as good as dead or at least beaten to a decent bloody pulp. Normally, it never got so complicated, but it was hard when the person you cared about hurt another person who happened to be your friend too.
Now, she pretty much convinced that Alec was gone, lost to the darkness and evil, but part of her, the part that could never forget Ben, refused to simply give up. He hadn't been home in a few days though and no doubt he was already settling into one of these cabins with Rebekah. Still, part of her hoped they were close enough that he would at least tell her good-bye or let her know. Jondy seemed to have settled in the same place and with two pulling away, Max was more than determined to keep what remained of her little family close.
It wasn't a far trek, but a normal human would have surly been winded by the time she arrived at the small clearing where a number of beautiful, little cabins stood out, strangely civilized in the wilderness. Unsure where her sister would choose to lounge, she sent out a private message over the network to Jondy, hoping the other transgenic would respond soon. She wasn't sure how friendly the Originals would be if they found her and figured she was friends with Faith. She couldn't seen them being friendly and she wasn't sure if either Alec or Jondy would still come to her aid. It appeared perhaps everything they had gone through was simply not strong enough to keep them together, but maybe she was foolish to believe it ever would. Now, she had a choice, forced into a side by Alec's cold-blooded desire to kill Faith and Faith's obvious and understandable desire to retaliate. He knew if he did it again, Faith would kill him and he'd painted himself and now Max, into a corner. He was forcing her hand and it was a hand she had yet to figure out any real moves with. She'd hoped to save him, to bring peace, uneasy, but peace all the same and instead things had gotten out of control. Maybe being with Jondy would give her some clarity again or maybe, it would just make her realize she was literally a solitary X5.
