Cassie followed and kept up with the other teenager's stride. "It does", she agreed. It beat exams, studying, stress, and homework, but much like Erin, Cassie found herself missing those things too. They were rather pleasant distractions from the rather menacing and frightening concept of being a witch...a dark witch at that. Not to mention, the constant fear of witch hunters and demons that plagued Cassie and the rest of the circle to no end back home. So far, she hadn't faced any of these things here and maybe, with any luck, they were completely gone thanks to the zombies. Either that or they thought there were no more witches left and didn't bother hunting them anymore. "But, yeah, I miss it. It was definitely a good distraction."
The blond witch was not a fan of school; she was rather a loner even before she came to Chance Harbor. She had friends, but only a few. Cassie had never been popular and when she came to Chance Harbor, she plummeted even further down the food chain of the jungle that was high school. If it wasn't for her being a witch and the circle meeting her, she'd probably assumed the same role, a loner, but the circle made sure she was never without someone, a friend, to count on. Unfortunately, the circle was not so much of a circle anymore and in the last few months at Chance Harbor, she'd lost her half sister. Thankfully, she'd found Melissa and Adam, but now, with everything happening between them, it was starting to seem like she'd be right back at the start: a loner.
Cassie shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't mind it. I was kind of a loner mostly anyway, but I guess I miss the normalcy", she replied quietly. What normalcy? It was kind of funny. She'd do anything for a chance at what she had before at Chance Harbor even if it was far from normal as possible. "And the lack of undead, you know?"
