In a zombie-filled, apocolaypse world, the last thing on Cassie's mind had been to make friends. Out in the wilderness, she strove only to survive and mainly, she did that on her own. With dangerous and death lurking around every corner, people who were once friendly and decent individuals became something entirely more sinister and evil. Like you and whole rest of the world's desperate populace, they wanted to survive and live. Desperate people were frightening and Cassie had the unfortunate luck of running into a few before Adam and Melissa had answered her on the network. She'd done somethings that she regretted and the teenager was much darker and colder than she'd ever been in her life. It was not something she was proud of, but it was not something she could escape either.
However, she wasn't in the wilderness anymore and though the Projects were far from safe (Chuck's story still rang in her ears), it did give her more of a chance to meet people who were a little less on the desperate side...some of them at least. Erin definitely came off as one of the good kinds and Cassie knew, in this world, it was rare. In the world before, it had been rare too, but the ease of dying made it nearly impossible to locate. However, this girl, unlike the first who'd answered, seemed friendly and when she invited Cassie to hangout with her on Saturday, the blond decided to go for it. There was always the constant pressure of danger around every corner, but Cassie hoped that with her witch heritage, she might stand a better chance than an average human.
Spotting a girl by the remnants of a mini mart, the witch walked cautiously over, but something in her gut-perhaps magic-told her that this was Erin. A half-smile formed on her lips and she offered a nod at the question. "Yeah, I'm Cassie. Erin, right?"
