Who: Cassie Blake and Chuck Bass
Where: Outside Fangtasia and then Katherine's place.
What: A tour.
Warnings: TBD. I don't think it's going to get beyond PG though, lol.
After leaving a note for her friends, Cassie Blake departed from the apartment she shared with the other two witches, making her way towards the popular vampire club, Fangtasia. Compared to many of the other residents here, Cassie hadn't been in the projects very long at all. In fact, now that she could keep track of time, everything seemed slower. The days no longer just bled into nights that bled into more days that eventually bled into countless weeks and so forth. No, now Cassie could keep track of every moment she spent here and while it sure as hell beat the wilderness, it left a lot to be desired in terms of anything besides most basic needs and shelter. Cassie had finally found part of her circle, her friends, but for the most part, she often felt like she intruding on something between them. It was subtle and definitely not prominent, but sometimes you didn't need something to be flung in your face to know, to feel, it was happening.
It was this way with Adam and Melissa's relationship. At first, she didn't think it was anything besides friendship, possibly a deeper friendship because of everything they had been through together here, but truth has a nasty way of rearing its ugly head no matter what lies or stories you tell yourself. Like most people, she lied to herself, pretended that it had to be her just reading into things a little too much, but no, she knew that look. The look Adam gave Melissa was the same look he used to give Cassie and before her, Diana. It wasn't just friendship or even something like a brotherly-sisterly bond. No, it was definite love and maybe they hadn't admitted it to each other yet, but that didn't matter. They both knew just like she did and once she accepted the realization, there was no going back to blissful ignorance. She read into everything they did and it all made her feel like she was an outsider, someone looking in, and nothing more. She felt that her arrival had been an intrusion instead of a blessing on the other two witches and no matter where she went with them or how they included her, the feeling would just not go away. To make things even worse and unbearable, Cassie felt slightly jealous of Melissa. While the elixir worked for Adam, it didn't work for Cassie. Adam's feelings for her were gone, but Cassie still retained hers and it took everything she had inside to not ever express them. To act like she truly saw Adam as nothing more than a friend.
This whole thing was the reason Cassie had finally decided to search for another place to live. Three was a company and Cassie knew it, felt it, and when the other two were in love, it only made things much, much worse for all of them. It would be easier if she simply left, put space between herself and her circle. She'd still be there to protect them and hang out with them, but space would be good; it would give her a chance to move on in a way that the current arrangement just wasn't.
So, she put out a network post and waited. The first person to respond was knowledgeable, but rude and Cassie had a feeling she'd be dead before the witch was. Erin seemed nice though and the girls had started chatting; she even gave her a suggestion of moving in with someone named Selene. It was definitely tempting, but than Chuck offered her a place with many nice things, things Cassie hadn't had in a long time and while she was hesitant to even consider living there-she wasn't stupid-she wanted to see what it was like. When he offered a tour, Cassie took it, using it as an excuse to leave their apartment eagerly. She arrived at the vampire club, but didn't go inside, instead, she lingered by the entrance to wait.
