Tara was angry. Well, she was always angry, but she'd been working on that. It wouldn't do to always bitch at everyone. Especially with the world they now lived in. One needed to make connections that could be called on. Not that she'd had any luck on that front so far but there was still time. only was there truly still time Jessica was gone. A fact that Tara was still coming to accept. It hadn't been all that long ago since they last talked. Or had seen one another. And yet it actually had been awhile. As much as she found the girl irritating she was also someone who knew what she was going through. Knew just how to get under her skin. But had also made her see the light. See that being a vampire wasn't all that horrible. Jess had been her friend and now she was gone. She had kept herself apprised of what was happening around her and on the network but remained quiet. Silent observation. Anyone who knew her knew that being silent was far from her norm. But the world they lived in called for some differences; though only some. With her observation and planning Tara was trying to prove not only to herself but to Pam and Eric that she was a worthy vampire. She'd proved that she was able to survive on her own out in the wilderness. Now was the time to prove she could form business relationships without guidance. Though with Jessica's death that all was put on hold. All she had learned was that Jessica was gone and Tara wanted answers. It was taking all her willpower to not jump down someones throat about the situation. The other vampire had sworn that the prison was safe and yet recent events had proven her wrong. Nowhere was safe. As she wiped down the bar roughly Tara nearly let her emotions control her. Anger and pain coursing through her. No doubt Pam could feel her emotions but her Maker had been close with Jess as well. Amongst all her pain and anger was also fear. Fear that Pam would be killed and she'd be alone again. Or that Sookie would be killed. When a customer ordered a drink, Tara quickly made it and turned her back. The projects were a dangerous place to live. And letting the patrons who frequented the bar see how she was just barely holding it together wouldn't be wise. No, she needed to hold it together, get her answers, and soldier on. |
