"So it really was a meteor shower and not insane family? Well that explains a lot Lana." came the male voice in the tower.
That one statement made Lana almost drop not only her rifle but her coffee (having joined quite a few in the not sleeping till the ghosts were gone group). "Jason..." she finally got out. "Lana, this isn't some bad dream that you can just blink away. Not anymore" he reminded her. That sent Lana's mind reeling since they had not exactly ended things on the best of terms before he died. "But after everything happend the whole story came out and well I did catch wind of what happened after I died. Don't ask how, people have ways of feeding info." he explained. He then confirmed what she had known for ages,"And yes Lex Luthor is a complete nutjob, Clark should have seen it sooner. But the his father is worse as you know." he added. But Jason gave her some hope at the same time,"The people that matter are still alive."
Lana was reeling so she had gone quiet, too quiet. She finally whispered,"But now I can finally say goodbye. In spite of how things ended there was plenty of good times too." since that part was true in the end. "This time at least you get a real goodbye." Jason tried to kiss Lana on the cheek but without success. "Never stop caring Lana, even now people with hearts are needed. Even tough girls have hearts." before he vanished for the moment.
Lana then shed a few quiet tears, part of her gaining some peace but at the same time scared to death. "Looks like I'm not going to sleep either." she decided but whispered. "Next time there's a ghost invasion how about sending down my parents instead of an ex?"
