Nathan and Victor left and Lissa let out a small sigh of relief. She felt like she had been holding her breath since the moment she walked in to see them staring back at her. Her parents and brother were still there watching the other three girls expectantly and she didn't know what exactly she was supposed to do.
"You're not intruding, Jill. You are a part of my family and they know that." Lissa looked from each of the members of her family. Her father kept looking between each of the girls like he was seeing them for the first time. Rhea was all grace and poise and regarding each girl like they were her own. Even with Jill she seemed to be trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible in the middle of this uncomfortable situation. Andre was watching with a little of confusion but remained quiet.
"I..." She shook her head. "No, neither of you need to go. I think I should probably go find Christian again." She didn't want him to be alone for too long with both of his parents there to harass him. She was pretty sure her brother and mother would follow her anyway. Their father would probably linger around both of his daughters.
The truth was, Lissa didn't know how she should feel or what she needed to say. It had been years and so much had happened. She'd heard too many things and found out secrets that she hadn't known about before. Normally she knew what was expected of her. As the last Dragomir, as a princess, a friend, a Queen, but as a daughter? Lissa was at a loss.
"Rose, you need to stay with Jill. She needs you right now." The charm was helping, but with so many ghosts and people so emotional with their visitors she knew that her sister was struggling. Rose was the only one who knew how to help her. Lissa could help Adrian calm down, but she felt powerless with everyone else.
