This was almost worse than that time on the plane. On the plane, the ghosts had rushed at her all at once. She thought she had lost her damn mind and maybe she had for a moment. But at least it had been her mind. Rosemarie Hathaway was equipped to deal with basically anything. She was strong, she could handle it. But she couldn't handle watching someone else go through it. That loss of control where she couldn't fight back the monsters as Jill clung to her like she was her very last lifeline.
"Liss...." Rose trailed off as Lissa walked into Jill's cell. Vera had already high tailed it and Rose didn't blame her one bit. Nobody knew drama like the royals and having the prison suddenly fill up with them was like a bad nightmare. It made Rose think that maybe somehow zombie apocalypse was a good thing. Things had been badly in need of change for a long time in their world. Here was change.
Well, here was change until the ghosts of Christmas past decided to show up and rain on their parade.
She wanted to tell Eric that he should go away, that clearly Lord Dragomir was causing more harm than good with the way his illegitimate daughter cowered on the floor. She knew that it wasn't only him though, it was all of them at once that were overwhelming Jailbait. All Rose wanted to do was protect her but she didn't know how.
As for Lissa there was no way she could protect her from her own demons either. As much as Rose wanted to jump in front of them and fight off all of their enemies, sometimes it just wasn't possible so she waited to take her cues from Lissa depending on how she reacted to her father.
