"Ouch. Must have been a Hell of a way to go." He said, making a face. He felt bad for Jessica, to be turned against her will must have been a pretty terrifying thing. Jack wasn't scared of much anymore; he'd seen way too much in his centuries of life for anything to really be new to him but that didn't put him past empathy.
"Lover, actually." He corrected, "One of many in my time. I guess... I'm just always meant to lose people. Boyfriends, girlfriends, they all come and go. Now the end of the world... Hell, I don't even know where to start again. Not that I'm just thinking about that in a time like this and all."
Jack laughed softly, "Yeah, kind of. Something like that, anyway. It's hard to explain. I'm not... easy to understand."
