Back in the day, Liz used to fear Isabel and jump when she gave her attitude. Alot has changed since then, though, and now Liz was used to the attitude her dear sister in law put off sometimes. It no longer phased her so when Isabel answered the way she did and she simply rolled her eyes, thinking nothing of the attitude she was given. It was just how Isabel was and she accepted that. "I only sleep when I have to" She commented with a shrug of her shoulders. Between working the kitchen, volunteering at the infirmary, practicing her powers, and trying to contact Max every chance she got, she didn't get much shut eye. How she survived on the little sleep she got she would never know but somehow she did.
When Isabel said her name the way she did and asked about their little family, Liz bit her lip and fought back the tears that threatened to spill out. "No" She replied softly, shaking her head. Tears began falling down her face silently as she went on to speak, this time more clearly. "No they're not with me. I haven't seen any of them since late August" After Los Angeles, the group of Liz, Kyle, Max, Michael, and Maria stayed together for a little while then fate pulled them apart little by little and soon Liz was left to fend for herself. Thank God she had powers or she would be probably have joined the zombie ranks by now. That or she would be completely dead. She wasn't sure which one was worse.
Reaching up, she ran her hand over her face to wipe some of the tears away. She didn't even know she was crying until she felt the wetness on her cheeks. "I try day and night to connect to Max but I haven't been able to yet. I-I know he's alive, though. I can feel it. I'm sure you can to" She told her, hoping to ease her sister in law's mind a little it. Isabel and Liz had little in common, even after all these years, but the one thing they always came together on was Max.
