Who: Castiel and Dean What: Castiel finds Sam after Bonnie locates him Where: Dean's cell When: Tonight Warnings: Only angst, I think.
After Dean had initially asked Castiel to look for Sam, Cas had physically looked for him in the surrounding areas thinking that the younger Winchester would be somewhere around. After all, if something bad would have happened, they would have most likely know by now - or, at least, that's what he told himself. It would have been easier if he could have simply located them like before, and appeared nearby, but the Enochian sigils made it impossible for him to find him so easily.
That was until Dean received the location from his friend, and after retrieving it Castiel immediately made his way over. Instead of making his presence known, though, when he caught sight of Sam he had to stop and simply watch him. He wasn't hurt, or being hunted. He wasn't being held against his wishes.
He seemed...content.
Sam seemed busy as he helped a group of what he guessed to be survivors. He wasn't in pain. He wasn't angry, or hurt. Sam just seemed to be busy doing what he and Dean had done for years - help others. Castiel knew that he needed to go to him, tell him that Dean was looking for him, but wouldn't Sam know that anyway? Not that he thought Sam had left to spite Dean, but maybe he just wanted some distance. A chance to do something different instead of just hunting supernatural beings.
After watching Sam for a few minutes longer, he hesitated for a moment before appearing back at the prison. Making his way inside, he looked around for Dean before finding him in his cell. By the way that his foot kept moving up and down he knew that he was anxious - not that he needed that to know, really - and Castiel cleared his throat.
