"Honestly, yeah, a little bit," Maria admitted. Why lie? She didn't think that Carol would drop her on purpose or anything, but accidents did happen, and, if one did here, Maria was oh so painfully human and she would just be a smear on the ground after falling from so damn far up in the air. So yeah, she was feeling pretty damn nervous right about now.
Carol did seem like a good person to work on a mission with. Both were former military, so they would know what they were looking for by going to a base. Maria wasn't shocked that Natasha had paired the two of them together for this. They likely would make a great team. It was just getting to the actual base and back that Maria was a little freaked out about.
"I'm usually a good flyer, too, but I'm used to being the one doing the flying, usually on a Hellicarrier or smaller vehicles." She took a deep breath and shook her head. "We'll be fine, though. I'm ready. Let's do this." Better to go ahead and get it done before she worried herself half to death.
