Jill’s mind was a whirlwind of confusion and wonder. She had somehow found herself in this new world and there was something wrong with Adrian. She felt it and it was starting to make her wonder just what happened to everyone. She had her questions but right now they needed to get to this prison and there was no way she was going to argue. A safe place sounded like the best solution right now and ignoring Adrian’s thoughts was just something she had to focus on as she followed Eddie, her eyes staring at the back of his head.
I know he was always cute. There were times that I thought that. I just didn’t think...why didn’t I see it? When did this happen? Jill felt her thoughts fill to the brim as remained quiet even after Eddie told him that Sydney could explain what was happening although she didn’t understand why Eddie couldn’t just tell her what she needed to know.
“Lee,” she said, stopping just as they reached what looked like a clearing as Jill felt that she needed to catch her breath. She felt off for whatever reason - maybe that was just Adrian but a part of Jill knew that this was mentally exhausting her. The more she thought about it all the more it seemed to spin her brain.
“Lee wanted to turn me. He was the one who was killing all those girls. We stopped him and that’s what I remember. I remember I helped. I helped you.” And then everything else was just a spinning top of memories because the things that Adrian knew and the thoughts that leaked into her mind were new.
It was obvious that Eddie knew more - he knew a lot more and for a moment she thought that she caught the look of disappointment on his face. The weirdest part of it all was that Jill felt responsible.
