He nodded and decided to get a hold of some vervain for himself to take against Rebekah. Chances were if it would keep him from compelling humans it could work against Rebekah too. That was his hope at least and worst case, he tried it and it failed.
"I don't intend to give you a reason to compel me." Which really was the truth. He met her eyes when he said it, relaxed and at ease. He knew Rebekah trusted him probably as much as she could live without blood. He needed to make her build up trust in him. And that meant having to do questionable things no doubt.
As she mentioned his new speed and strength he glanced at her before he tried it. He ran forward and did a wide circle around Rebekah before he decided on something risky and potentially stupid. Using the speed he slammed into Rebekah and stared at her. "Why did you force your blood on me?" he asked. There was no ungrateful tone in his voice, merely curiosity.
