"Born in New York," Lana said, ticking the locations off on her fingers. "Grew up in Moscow, and I was living in Paris before this happened. I dance for the Paris Opera Ballet. I've been there... about eight years now? Since I was eighteen." She wasn't surprised to learn Val was a gymnast; such intense physical conditioning as was required by gymnasts and dancers alike left its marks on the body, though in different ways.
"If I may ask, why did you stop competing?" she asked curiously, head tilted slightly to the side. She wasn't sure what level Val competed at, but she couldn't be more than mid-twenties, which shouldn't have put anything outside of her reach, really.
