Jack's eyes bulged, his entire body tensing for an instant before he looked down to the arms around him, his sleepy brain trying to calculate what was going on until he heard Pam squawk in his ear. He relaxed again, almost sagged into the embrace just as she let him go.
Great.
He sighed and dropped his shoes next to him, his socks in hand as he raised his arms to stretch, listening as Pam continued on, and not-Alistair sputtered after her. His eyes focused in on Evie just as he was comprehending what was going on with that, and despite everything he managed to offer her a tired, weary smile.
The voice caused him to jump, tense, and then sigh as he realized orders were coming. As he listened, he flopped into one of the chairs, dragging his shoes along with him, and pulled on his socks. Two hours wasn't so bad, but he paused what he was doing to look at the opening next to the chair, frowning deeply at it.
"Fucking great," he sighed, shaking his head as his face scrunched in displeasure, tugging both of his socks on and fumbling with his shoes. He looked up to Tobias, feeling sympathetic but entirely not in the mood to deal with this and give a run down. But that wasn't the kid's fault.
"Uuuh, Tobias, you said? I'm Jack. That's Evie and Pam." He gestured with his head to each woman as he tried to shove his shoe over his foot without looking, realized he was trying to get the wrong one on, and grabbed for the other. "For now you're gonna wanna do what those assholes tell you to. We can explain everything after." When they were done being fucked with. When he coffee, or food, or after he'd chilled out with the less appropriate videos stored on his phone for a while.
