"Maybe they'll give us a bigger one," Owen said. The dog in his arms twisted and wriggled a bit, wanting to get closer to the husky in Cecilia's hands so he could sniff her better. Owen obliged, thinking they probably made quite a sight out there in the hallway. "Kind of feels like a bribe, doesn't it?" He didn't want to be a downer or anything, since the animals were cute and he liked seeing Cecilia smiling like that. But he supposed someone ought to try and be a little level headed. And wasn't Owen always the party pooper? "A bunch of gifts and now everyone's got a pet? Just seems strange."
