Who: Jack and Daphne
When: Late morning
Where: Jack's room
Daphne had known when she did it that the print-outs would be short-lived. It would have been better to slip one under every door or just leave stacks of them everywhere, but at the end of the day she'd wanted to be quick. The more she put out, the greater her chance of being caught was. Besides, she didn't need everyone to see it. Just enough people to get the word out. She'd nudged Pam in the right direction, now it was time to tell Jack. In her mind, she wasn't doing this maliciously, and certainly not because she wanted to hurt Jack. She liked Jack. But odds were good that Jack would be most affected by the conversation, and that was the best way to get it out there because everybody liked Jack. And Jack liked just about everybody, aside from Simms. If she could cull that number down a little, all the better.
She watched the feeds for a while, waiting until the timing was just right to leave her room and head for Jack's. A copy of the conversation was clutched in her fist, carefully wrinkled and stained over the course of the day. Daphne had angry tears in her eyes, a trick she'd been able to summon up since her school days. She'd learned early on that tears were often the quickest way to manipulate many men, and being able to summon them on cue was a skill beyond value. Once outside Jack's door, she knocked quickly and erratically. If he wasn't up, she'd just have to wake him.
