"Oh, well..." Kai thought, trying to figure out what counted as 'different' in this place. Smirking a little, she pointed out the windows. "None of that was here. It was still relatively nice when I, you know, poofed. A proper autumn, warm and pretty. I like this though," she said, nodding her head at the snow as she ripped into the poptarts packet. "I've never lived anywhere that had that much snow. Has it been going long?"
Kai raised one of the poptarts to her mouth and took a large bite, nose wrinkling slightly as she tried to decide if she was in any way at peace with the current taste in her mouth. It was... weird. The world might have been okay without the addition of watermelon poptarts, but she was gonna eat it anyway. "I think they do care, in a way," she said, once again unmindful of how weird that might sound. "Not in the way a human being cares for another human being, you dig? But as prized possessions or beloved pets, maybe."
