Who: Oliver and Owen When: Early morning Where: The path between the house and the beach
It had been a good morning, waking up relatively comfortably on the beach in his hammock, watching the sun rise. There were others on the beach enjoying the visual as well, but for a little while he was happy keeping to himself, enjoying the sounds of the water, the smell of the ocean, and the relaxing swing of the net under him. Jason would have loved everything about this place, except for the lack of freedom. And, god, he wanted to steal that damn hammock and find a way to plaster it up in his room back at Zenith. He waited until the glow on the horizon had turned from pink to the beginning twinges of blue before gathering up his belongings and leaving the beach. He was glad he'd brought his jeans with him, sleeping in those overnight rather than the pants that his costume had gone with. He didn't even want to think of the state his legs and ass would have been in if he hadn't. He hadn't had anything to drink the night before, so he was faring far better than many of those who had made it to the house before him. He wondered if there was a point in sympathizing considering what a nice night it had been for everyone. No real regrets, as far as he could tell. Good, they sure as hell deserved it.
He was barely at the house for half an hour, leaving the hat on top of his pack, because he was damn well bringing that thing back with him. He showered the sand, sweat, and night's events off him and changed into a tank top and jogging shorts before he headed out again. He had a workout to take care of, and it was cool enough for the moment to take advantage of it. He'd been going at a steady jog for a few minutes when he noticed the back end of a familiar figure ahead of him on the path leading back toward the beach. He wondered if they were the only people actually up and active at this point.
"Morning, Owen," he called, not increasing his speed just yet in case the other man wanted some time on his own. He figured it could go either way.
