Julian is a junior art major, originally born in Austin, Texas, but only lived there for five years before moving up to Purchase, NY with his recently divorced dad. He spends most breaks or summers back in Austin, unless he crashes at his sister's dorm at Columbia. He's hugely into photography, mostly, but can do a variety of art-type things, as long as there's no computers needed (graphic art, mixed media, etc)
He's sort of loud and occasionally obnoxious about it, though he doesn't mean to be - he's sort of sensitive, though not in a 'listens to emo music and weeps' kind of way, but an 'easily offended and hurt' way, and in turn he tries not to ever hurt anyone else. He doesn't censor himself, exactly, but he tends to tone down the truth if he thinks it won't go over well. And yet, he also gets sort of wrapped up in himself, maybe worrying about how he's being perceived, and can come off as kind of selfish, which really just makes him worry more, and then there's something of a never ending chain of events.
Oh, and he's gay, though he managed to go through most of his high school career thus far with his sexuality being sort of a null point, pretending it doesn't exist, that kind of thing. Recently he's started letting go of that, though, 'experimenting' and hooking up with guys, though so far it's really only been with guys he meets through his sister at Columbia.
What else? He's absolutely terrified of both needles and blood, and he doesn't really do much in the way of drugs or such things - he drinks sometimes, but doesn't actually get the appeal of anything else, though he's not actively opposed to it. So. Anyone want to be his friend? Guy he could try his experimenting with, person who thinks he's obnoxious, etc. etc. just throw things at me, basically.
