Hey all, Megan (Kieran) here, with my second boy, Julian Abrams. Julian is a junior art major, originally born in Austin, Texas, but only lived there for five years before moving up to Purchase, NY with his recently divorced dad. He spends most breaks or summers back in Austin, unless he crashes at his sister's dorm at Columbia. He's hugely into photography, mostly, but can do a variety of art-type things, as long as there's no computers needed (graphic art, mixed media, etc) He's sort of loud and occasionally obnoxious about it, though he doesn't mean to be - he's sort of sensitive, though not in a 'listens to emo music and weeps' kind of way, but an 'easily offended and hurt' way, and in turn he tries not to ever hurt anyone else. He doesn't censor himself, exactly, but he tends to tone down the truth if he thinks it won't go over well. And yet, he also gets sort of wrapped up in himself, maybe worrying about how he's being perceived, and can come off as kind of selfish, which really just makes him worry more, and then there's something of a never ending chain of events. Oh, and he's gay, though he managed to go through most of his high school career thus far with his sexuality being sort of a null point, pretending it doesn't exist, that kind of thing. Recently he's started letting go of that, though, 'experimenting' and hooking up with guys, though so far it's really only been with guys he meets through his sister at Columbia. What else? He's absolutely terrified of both needles and blood, and he doesn't really do much in the way of drugs or such things - he drinks sometimes, but doesn't actually get the appeal of anything else, though he's not actively opposed to it. So. Anyone want to be his friend? Guy he could try his experimenting with, person who thinks he's obnoxious, etc. etc. just throw things at me, basically. |

Party Okay, so Kale gets a huge birthday party from pretty little Lolita. But the party is going to involved illegal drugs. Not just Mary-Jane ;) Thus, my question is, who would get an invite? Obviously people who would not rat them out to the teachers of the school. I also wanted to make sure it was okay to make a post with this in it. As the party is going to go, the punch is going to be laced with cocaine and alcohol. So think about it, get back to me, and I'll get the post up ASAP. And totally up for any drama people want to get thrown into the madness. |

Checking in to check on ongoing threads and request a few new ones... Currently, I think I have in progress... Jack/Darcy -- I think they can start towards winding down? Jack/Nikki -- Calico, I haven't heard from you in a bit. Did you get my PM about Kale, too? TJ/Liz -- I'll respond when I get home. Kale/Alfie -- in progress Jack/Luca -- do we want to keep going on this one or is it a good ending point? Wanted... Jack/Gatsby -- either on the journals, or meeting up to get to know each other more and discuss the Kale/? -- did we want to do something with either Penny or Luca? I'd love to see someone able to get under Kale's skin and that armor she wears TJ/Nikki -- he wouldn't mind some roommate conversation as followup to his not-date-turned-date with Liz (we can find a reason why it didn't take place until later) And does anyone else want any of my three kids? I have a three day weekend! And while I will be AFK most of Saturday afternoon, I think I'm around mostly on Sunday and Monday. Whee!!! I shall have to be all domestic and cook and clean, so I may not be at my computer constantly, but feel free to ping me if you want and I'll respond when I'm back. |

Hey, all, it's Deb (Jackson, TJ) back again with a third character, and she just happens to be based on one of my favorite songs ("It's Alright, It's OK" by Leah Andreone, or the cheeriest depressing song ever, as it was nicknamed by my husband). Go listen here if you've never heard it. ANYway, I'd like you to meet Kale Bennett (and yes, it's pronounced like the plant). Kale is in 11th year as a Tech Theatre major, and she's going to be 17 in oh... 6 days. She's an interesting little bird... she's out to experience everything. If there is a sensation, and it can be deemed "good" or even "not outright BAD" she's up for it. See, she knows she's a depressive personality, and combats it by overloading on sensation, be it drugs, adrenalin, sex, whatever. So she's not very good at saying "no" and is intrigued by just about everything. If you read up on Kale's profile, feel free to know most of it because Kale's not so good at hiding things. Especially if she's been drinking... or smoking... or whatevering. But she won't tolerate being called Kim, Kimber, or Kimberly. Kale can be found in the theatre, up in the lights (she likes doing the high scaffolding work) or in the rigging), behind a video camera, or relaxing. And oh yeah. She's very, very friendly. |

Fresh Meat? Hi! I'm Calico. And I bring you Nikki! Metrosexual dancer boy who is good at what he does, but not much else. A genuinely nice person but he finds human interaction odd. Check out his profile to see how awesomely cool he is. I'm also a nice person and love plotness and ideas. Who wants to be friends and know him? I figure he knows other dancers. One plot idea is he does a lot of couple dancing so if anyone out there wants to be his partner or be trained in it, that could be thread fun-ness. about the party I totally meant to post this stuff earlier, but work had a party and got out early and ohhhhh been busy since then. Anyway. Happy New Year in the real world. And TJ is having his party. I am going to post an open thread shortly. That thread is for everyone attending the party, so if folks don't have to post separate threads. Just respond with a new response thread to the main thread for every new conversation. I'll list the folks who are there on the main part of the thread once people tag in. For myself, TJ is obviously hosting, and Jack's there IF he can convince Luca to go with him. For reference sake: TJ's flat is a top floor flat. Essentially, it's like a penthouse, and it's old money, and it's big. He's given his maid and butler the night off, so there are no adults hanging about. The bar is well stocked, so feel free to improvise with what's available. There's plenty of food of the munchie variety, either hot or cold, and there's breakfast for those who are staying. Crash space is available, but TJ's room is the one room that's off-limits. And yes, TJ is relatively spoiled. There's a theater room. There's a dance studio. Big kitchen, big living room. A few bedrooms. So, I'll get that posted, and I figure folks aren't around tonight (everyone's gone to sleep on me!!!) but feel free to jump in at any time. OH! And for reference sake, maybe folks who are attending could post here so if other folks want to hunt them for conversation, drinking partners, whatever partners, it'll be easier to coordinate? Jack's drinking, but not to excess. TJ... is going to be a bit drunk. And on the roof at midnight to see the ball drop. |

Hey everyone, newbie here. Or, well, Megan. I'm bringing in my boy Kieran O'Riley, a senior drama major. He originally comes from Boston, MA, although his father currently lives in Flushing, NY. He's bisexual, smokes and occasionally drinks, and is fairly obsessed with blues and punk music, although he can't play an instrument to save his life. He can sing, though, so he could potentially be in musicals, but at the moment he's not especially interested. He's friendly and good with people, loves being social and making friends, but can be stubborn and will hold a grudge. He's something of a recovering Catholic, and still has some residual guilt over not really following the religious lessons of his mother, who died when he was eleven due to cancer. So, anyone who would be up for some form of a relationship (friends, someone he has a grudge against, etc. etc.), that would be pretty great. I'm looking forward to this, for sure. |

My second! Hello, all! Deb (aka, Jackson) here with my second character. Meet TJ Craig (please do NOT call him Theodore, Theo, or any other permutation... he's TJ thankyouverymuch). He's a senior, and a dance major (and yes, he's straight). He's most often smiling, and he knows how to laugh at himself. He's a NYC boy, with an apartment in Manhattan that's his, all his, since he's an emancipated minor who lives on a trust fund left to him by his grandmother. He's also a bit of a lonely little rich boy sometimes, and he enjoys spoiling close friends rotten. I would love to setup friendships/past relationships, etc.! TJ is looking for The Girl in his life, among other things. And he's going to be announcing a New Year's Eve party shortly, with plenty of crash space for anyone who wants to be there. A flat with roof access in Manhattan and the only adults around are essentially the butler and the maid... |

Hey hey guys AGAIN. This is Amber once more introducing a third (and probably final? maybe?) character, a senior art major whose given name is Gatsby. Yeah. Not a nickname. Gatsby is really the name his parents gave him. And ohhh yeah he loves it! :D Anyway, Gatsby's from Ann Arbor, Michigan (hits close to my own home, pun intended), and is a yearly alumnus of the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp, also in the Mitten State. He's much more interested in digital and graphic art than studying the classics, and is also an especially huge fan of pop art. And cute boys. And he REALLY doesn't care if you have a problem with that so BACK UP. :] So yeah. He's very very friendly and he's also an eternal optimist, so I'm sure he'll be friendly with nearly every single player in this game. But he'll need close friends. Any takers? He also develops infatuations and little crushes on his fellow male students easily, but he knows his boundaries, but if there's anyone wary of him? That's cool, too. But don't think he'll take heed of anyone's dislike. :D |

Hey guys, I know the game is slow right now, but HANG IN THERE! Today is my last day of work until next monday, so when I get home, I'm going to be doing some MASSIVE promotions. This game will be pimped out like no other, and hopefully, we'll get some new blood. Along the same lines, tell your friends about this game! By the end of the week, two of my RP buds have told me that they'll be applying, so try to bring your friends in, too! I'll be making some posts, throwing my kids into all of yours, and you guys should all do the same! This game has some really great potential, and I'd love to see it thrive, so we need to start building it up. Hey guys! Amber (Luca's mun) here with character number zwei. This is Penny Lane Wharton, but she thinks that's a bit ridiculous a lot of the time so she usually just goes by Penny. She's a music senior, who's a bit naive and a little too folksy when it comes down to being in the big city (her parents are self-made troubadours and she spent all of her childhood being homeschooled as they traveled around the country). But! She's as friendly as can be, if a little closed off emotionally (death of her twin sister. You know, the usual...) THAT whole story is on her journal, obviously. Anyway. She can be fun; unique and way liberal in her thinking, but fun, anyway. So. Friends? Yes? People who find her too much of a head-in-the-sky hippie, maybe? But mostly friends? :] |

questions!! So, I was just chatting with Hannah and remembered a bunch of questions I'd been meaning to ask. Well, two, anyway. There might be more if I can remember them!! (1) What are the dates for break for these guys? When will they be traveling home, when are they due back in the dorms, and can they stay in the dorms at all during the break if they don't want to be home the whole time? (2) Can they post to their journals while they are at home, or do they need to be physically at the school to do so? |

power out Okay... so the other day I commented that I had power back after losing it. Now... um... so there was this ice storm, and East Greenbush (which is essentially where I live) was the poster child on the Weather Channel for the ice storm. I lost power Friday, got it back that night, and LOST IT AGAIN on Saturday morning. *sulks* I am currently posting because I'm at RPI (where I work) but we are still very much powerless at home. Cross your fingers for me to get power back soon! But until we get power back at home, I'm only online from 8am-5pm eastern (and I'm doing a bit upgrade at work which is stealing me from posting time), and minimal access via Blackberry in the evenings. Bah. I hate being off the grid. Please feel free to poke/answer Jack anyway -- I will cheerily respond every chance I get!! And I am working on that second app, but uncertain whether I'll be able to get it in before the hold expires... but I will try. |

Amy called me this morning to let you guys know she can't get online for a few days. She lives in the North Pole or Canada or Massachusetts or something and they had an ice storm or a bad storm (I was trying to pretend like I wasn't on my phone at work and didn't get the full gist of it), and they lost power and thus all internet for a few days. If you need her, tell me and I'll call her. I might not be online tonight, we lost power in my house, too (I live in NY, she lives in MA), from 6AM-noonish, so hopefully everything is working tonight. Ahhh, winter is a wonderful season, is it not? |

Hi! I'm Bina, bringing you Harper Reed, inspired by eden ahbez's, hippie extraordinaire, Nature Boy. The version I have in Harper's journal is by Nat King Cole, though David Bowie/Massive Attack's version is incredibly awesome, too. Harper's an 11th grade tech boy/scrabble-geek specializing in costume design with a fondness for Edwardian and Regency-era clothing. He's very laissez-faire about most things and thinks of himself as a serial monagamist, despite being pretty bad at dating. It's one of those things he has to grow up about. Most people would consider him to be the sensitive type, but he's really much too dense at times to qualify. He is, however, a nice guy, who can be very helpful if you catch him at the right time. Friend All Everyone run the friend button! Last night we added a new player but we also lost one. Ary's player has become really bogged down with RL obligations and has decided not to play and be inactive. I always appreciate when people are realistic about their priorities instead of holding onto a slot that someone else could utilize. That said, we've come out of last night even. Tell your friends, consider second characters. Your_song has the potential to be a great game with the community we have, but a few more great characters could make it exceptional. |
