For Shimizu, it's a no-brainer when Iwaki decides to leave her agency: she'll go wherever he feels compelled to go, but no matter how it may look to others, it's not blind trust on her part. As a young girl, Shimizu worshipped talent across the board, but over the years, she has become far choosier about who deserves her devotion. What makes Iwaki her ideal client is his willingness to twist and train his talent into any direction demanded of him. It raises Shimizu's own game, and she would rather clean toilets than spend her time on anyone less dedicated.

Oh, this is awesome! This is really how I see Shimizu--she's loyal to Iwaki, but it's not a blind loyalty; he's had to earn it.

You know I love it when one of our hard-working managers gets the spotlight for a change! ^_^

Glad it rings true - there's definitely more to her than what we get to see in canon. :-)

(And as for writing for her - aside from the managerial thing, there aren't a lot of female characters to profile in either Haru or FAKE - Yuuko's cool, but I'm not that interested in the family dynamic, and likewise Masahiko's wife. Although now that I'm thinking about it, the president of Katou's agency is definitely someone to be reckoned with... aaah, so much for getting back to sleep!)

I agree with Geri - lovely to see Shimizu get a bit of spotlight. I really admire her - she is so dedicated and true to herself, and I can definitely see her think like that.

Hmm. Keep talking like that and there may be some Shimizu/Yoshizumi in the future. ;-) Glad you liked it!

hahhah! very Shimizu-san indeed!!! lolz! i she even leave her own secure company to follow iwaki in his decision to be independent right? before that scandal that lead iwaki to buy his own agency rather than build a new one right? hehehe iwaki is such a lucky guy to find one loyal person as Shimizu-san!

That's right, and Iwaki is very lucky indeed. Thanks for reading and commenting!
