1.

Iwaki has never wanted to own a cat-- he has never been home enough to consider the idea of a pet, and the thought of having to cope with litterboxes makes him shudder. However, he feels a peculiar affinity with the black feline he has been paired with for a calendar shoot: the creature is clearly intelligent and full of attitude, and Iwaki could swear that it's making faces at him as he strikes an assortment of come-hither poses against the wall, prompting him to wag a finger at it in mock rebuke.

Oddly enough, this prompts it to purr.

In spite of his excellent work in Fuyu no semi, most of Katou's contemporaries tend to assume that his interests and hobbies are contemporary and hi-tech-- the sort requiring batteries, power cords, or LEDs. So when the co-star of his newest film stops by his trailer, the woman is startled to see Katou with a watercolor brush in hand, with three photographs of Iwaki Kyosuke in various stages of being hand-tinted.

The actress eventually confesses, "I would have never pictured this as a pastime for you. It seems so tame."

"Ah," Katou smiles. "Nothing with my Iwaki-san is truly tame."

3.

Miho has developed the habit of stopping by Katou's trailer to watch him hand-tint his photographs of Iwaki. She is fascinated by the finesse with which he wields the brushes; the delicate control seems so much at odds with the brash, energetic movements of her co-star in all of the other settings she's seen him in.

One afternoon, a friend from Kyoto drops by. Yoshizumi admires the photographs and asks Katou where he obtained his tools.

Katou grins. "There's a department store in Tokyo that will shape brushes out of anything--"

Miho stares at Yoshizumi as he shouts, "Enough!!!"
