Halloween celebration? Fuck yes. Zoey was all about that sort of thing. Of course, having just arrived three days ago, putting together a costume hadn't really been on the forefront of her mind. More there had been the unpacking, the jet lag, the desperate attempts to sign up for full classes, getting her computer set up, all of those crazy things. But, after a few hours of panicked rummaging through her things and a couple of lucky finds day-of at some of the booths she had managed to put together an ensemble that lived up to her "standards", such as they were.
Thus the evening of the event she could be found wandering around the various events, snatching up all manner of unhealthy snacks (mmmm, caramel apple) and being oblivious to some of the more disturbing costumes. All of this while wearing a long red cloak with the hood put back, accompanied by a scarlet puffy dress that might have been thought cutesie if not for the fact that it ended just a bit too high above the knee, with a good bit of white frills sticking out from the bottom. Brisky winds were kept off her legs by striped red-and-white stockings and her enormous shit-kicker combat boots kept her feet warm while completely clashing with the rest of the outfit. A pair of stick-on fangs and a headband baring a pair of wolf ears (one kind of droopy) completed the look. She even managed to scrounge up a wicker basket which was already half filled with assorted candy treats.
It was a pleasant fall evening with a great many interesting sounds to listen to and crowds of people to "watch". Even if she had only really met one person on campus yet, she couldn't help but have a giddy smile glued to her.
