Apparently I can't stay away cause here we are again. His info is in his journal, and yes the mutation did get a separate entry of its own (I'm crazy like that). His main trade is contract killing, although if its illegal he's probably done it at some point. Recently he's picked up a job as a dancer/stripper at a place called Velvet Edge in the Bronx. Poke me if you want more details on that (it is possible that they'll be hiring again). Speaking of contact stuff... March 5th, 2009 9:21 pm Thank goodness there was a draft of this [ ] decayedwithin [ mood | hopeful ] I apologize for not doing this earlier (ie 2 1/2 days ago). I had to go run some errands shortly after being accepted, and when I returned home, my Internet was down. :( I was able to get back on for about an hour and thought that I'd be fine because my Internet does that sometimes. However, it's apparently a city-wide problem, since I went to Dunn Bros. and found that their Internet is kablooey. I guess it's something to do with our provider. However, the kitchen appears to be MAGICAL! So I'll make a quick introduction before I get kicked off again. Hello there, lovely Xemplify players! I'm Amber, and I'm going to be your resident Kitty Pryde and Marcus Donovan. I'm addicted to being a nerd, I love cuddling up with a good book, and I burst out randomly in song and dance when I'm in public. Now on to the characters! I think we all know Kitty. In a nutshell, she's pretty social and upbeat -- totally game for any interaction. I tried to keep her past and personality as close to the original in the comics as could be (since prior to X3, there's not a lot of MOVIE information on her) with just some minor alterations. However, I have implemented a bit of that Ellen Page spunk that I saw and loved. Marcus (or Mark/Decay) is the newest Brotherhood member with the ability to degenerate organic, living material. Overall, he's pretty laid back, but he's definitely got some issues with the 'normies', which is why he's with the "bad" guys and not at Xavier's. His mentality at the moment toward other mutants is that he doesn't care what they believe (whether they support human-mutant coexistence or not) as long as they stay out of his way. He's kind of cocky and definitely overestimates himself, but he's not usually a serious fellow. On the contrary, he's extremely goofy. If anybody wants to talk to me (When my Internet is completely back up-and-running again, that is.), my AIM is WarblingPixie, or you can e-mail me at WarblingPixie@aol.com or Byrnison@live.com. The latter address would be the safest e-mail, though, because I check it every day. WarblingPixie is a new name. I'm so excited to be a part of this, and I'm really looking forward to interacting with all of you and your characters. Back to the first paragraph, I just wanted to let everyone know (especially the mods) about my current circumstance. I'm hoping that the Internet will be completely fixed within the week, but in the event it isn't, I'm not being lazy. I just don't have reliable access at the moment! (As proof of this, my Internet died and I was lucky enough that IJ had saved a draft of this.) This probably won't be an issue by the end of this week, though. I just thought I'd be safe. And I wanted to apologize for this issue. I wasn't having problems with my Internet when I was applying.

March 5th, 2009 5:20 pm [ ] icexprincess Hi guys! It's Honey... I have an idea and I really would like to know who all is interested in this. (I also have a modly announcement to toss in at the end.) So here's the deal. Claire Windsor lives about twenty minutes from Xavier's place by car. She has some really nifty things up at her place, including a small stable and an ice rink. Now this rink does not have spectator stands right now, but it does have a sort of snack-bar they never use and it's an Olympic-style figure-skating ice arena. She's thinking about opening it to Xavier's school, and especially opening the snack bar as a potential job opportunity for a few of the upperclassmen. Now. This could be a cool way to get Xavier's kids out of the school and get them doing something positive and fun. But. This won't be happening if there isn't any interest from the school. So I need to know, those of you who have student characters. Would they be interested at all? Now. Modly announcement. The activity check occurs in one week. All posts to be counted for the activity check must be in by 12:01 AM PST, March 13. Anyone who does not post with at LEAST a journal entry for each character they have in-game by this time will be removed. Since this is our first week since reopening, I'm liable to be a little more lenient. The game was dying before, and was gone for two weeks, so it can be a little hard to get into the swing of things. But seriously, folks, it's not that hard to tack up a journal entry, narrative, or thread starter. I'm not saying you need a full, complete thread finished by that time. I'm just saying I need to know your character is out there and active. To prove you've read this and you're aware of all of this, I want you to post a reply to this with your opinions on Claire's rink, and any further ideas you might have to boost activity. The game thrives off of activity, ladies and gentlemen. Please remember that. Be sure you read this post carefully. ♥♥ Also! Quick edit - we've had a LOT of new kids come in and a LOT of old characters get dropped or removed. Please visit the friend-all so that your friends list is up to date!

She's got superfun powers of telepathy (which is her main form of communication besides sign language and the written word since she is a mute), telekinesis and teleportation, but she rarely uses any of her powers unless absolutely necessary. I am working on tossing up her bio on her page, so that should be up shortly for everyone to check out. I am super excited to be joining the game and I hope everyone gets a chance to meet Psylence, she is a very... intriguing char. As opposed to kicking kittens and beer like a certain short mercenary. Everyone, meet Jamie. Jamie's power is teleportation (ooh, shiny!) and he has a secondary power that lets him check the layout of a place he's going into. (He only uses it when he has no other alternative because it's kinda draining.) I should just warn you going in, Jamie is a major ass. This may or may not be a byproduct of psychopathy. So he's a mercenary, and Greek/Italian. And he's currently living just outside the school, doing this job called "surveillance" of the mutants there. His PB is Jared Leto. And you can find all his info here, but another warning: it's extremely long, so if you're looking for something in a hurry, you'd probably just be best off to ask me. :D Ooh, speaking of contact! February 28th, 2009 7:32 pm [ ] growthspurt Hey everyone. Since the game is reopening I'm reintroducing myself! I'm Abby! And I play the lovable but for a while rather nervous about using her powers Myra Stebbins (pbed by Elisabeth Harnois). She is 17 and a junior. Since we're starting in February, Myra is now living at the institue having been kicked out by her parents after they found out she'd been using her powers after she promised not to - months ago. The only member of her family that even comes and visits her is her father as he seems to be able to deal with this better than her mother (who banned her brother from going). While she's still having issues with technically being abandoned by her family, she's getting over it still - has instances where the issues come up. She needs friends. She has a 14 year old brother named Damian and her best friend from home (Dobbs Ferry) is named Jacob Massley =D. Jacob comes up to visit with HIS parents rather frequently - they're her second parents (and they've accepted her for who she is since the beginning). So plot? Ideas? Thoughts? She's an independent and can be expected to float around like the gypsy she is. Along with her, I bring three NPCs, Spike, Freddie and Landon from their DJ group synaesthesia as where ever Brynn goes, so do her friends. February 12th, 2009 8:25 am [ ] xemplifymods Hello, everyone. This is new mod Honey. I have good news and I have slightly less good news. As you all know, we've lost five players, in addition to our lovely ex-mod Chris. Right now, Xemplify is essentially looking death in the face. We have eleven players left, including me and the lovely co-mod, Irish. A large majority of those players we have left are on hiatus. At this point, it seems like Xemplify is dying if not already dead. Today, February 12, I am closing Xemplify down. That's the less good news. The game will be down for one to two weeks, resuming play on either the 19th or the 26th of this month. At the end of this time, Xemplify will be reopening with some slight changes. The following things will not be affected by the revamp: -All existing game logs will stay up. -The graphics will not be changed at all (this includes the layouts and page graphics on important mod pages). -The premise will not be changed. -Current players at Xemplify will not be asked to reapply with their characters in order to stay in the game. The following things will be affected by the revamp: -The application will be revised slightly. (Don't worry - this only affects you if you are bringing in new characters.) -When game play resumes, we will be beginning a new set of weeks to bring time to a more current frame. -Current lists (including the contact list, roommate assignments, and the taken list) will be revised and updated. I will be sending out a mod email later today to everyone still in the game. I ask only that you let me know, via email or by poking me on AIM, whether you plan to stay. If I have received no answer from you by the time we reopen, chances are you will not be allowed to continue with the game without reapplying. Those of you on hiatus will be allowed two extra days to reply. If you have any suggestions for the revamp, or things you would like to see change, please go ahead and let me know. Again, you can reach me on AIM at xsouthernhoney, via the mod email or my personal (southern.x.honey@gmail.com), or through a (screened) comment to this entry. I do encourage those of you who are staying to think of what has been happening with your character in the past few months (from when current game play ended to the present), but bear in mind that major events will need to go through me and Irish, as well as all involved players. Major ones touch on not only your character, but other characters as well.) February 5th, 2009 8:48 pm [ ] illusion_master I hate to do this to you all, but I've just become very sedentary with my journal in this com. I haven't posted in a long time and I feel the drive I had to be here is gone, so I should likely head out. It's not that I'm 'too busy' and it's not that I simply forget that this place exists, which I do sometimes, it's just that I've completely lost interest. Thank you all for being wonderful while I was here and for those of you who have worked with me on plots, you're amazing. Jason has recently decided to tie up loose ends. He's finished Glory's apartment, choosing one for her himself and seeing to the entire thing being fixed up properly. He's sent a few books to the 'cute British girl's home with a note saying that he's leaving town but enjoyed the day they shared. The illusionist has also left a note for Magneto challenging him to be a better leader, an a note for 'Gib's girlfriend' to let her know what's going on. The elder has taken Gibs and run like hell. He's heading for the boy's natural home, but will likely skip around from there. He's of the mind that no one will ever hurt the whelp again, and he's a bit crazy, so it works out. He doesn't intend to come back and blames not only the location, but the people as well, in an irrational manner, for the effect and current status of his pup. Again, thank you to everyone, and to the Mods, Good luck. I really hope this all works out for you guys. Enjoy your com, your players are awesome. Please pull me from the game at this time.
