Battlestar Marvel: a BSG/Marvel mashup [Mon 9 Jan / 9:46am] battlestarxmods . the sentinels were created by mutants . they evolved . they rebelled . there are many copies . and they have a plan . PREMISE | SHIPS | COLONIES | MILITARY | GOVERNMENT Battlestar Marvel is a game based on a mashup of the television show Battlestar Galactica (TRS) and the Marvel Universe. The premise is set in a distant star system, where a civilization of mutants (yes, complete with their mutant powers!) live on a group of planets known as the Twelve Colonies. In the past, the Colonies had been at war with a cybernetic race of their own creation, known as the Sentinels. With the unwitting help of a human scientist named [TBD], the Sentinels launch a sudden sneak attack on the Colonies, laying waste to the planets and devastating their populations. Out of a population numbering in the billions, only approximately 50,000 mutants survive, most of whom were aboard civilian ships that avoided destruction. Of all the Colonial Fleet, the Battlestar Marvel appears to be the only military capital ship that survived the attack. Under the leadership of Colonial Fleet officer Commander [TBD] and newly-elected President Jean Grey, the Marvel and its crew take up the task of leading the small fugitive fleet of survivors into space in search of a fabled thirteenth colony known as Earth. This game takes place primarily aboard the Marvel, but welcomes characters who live aboard the other various civilian ships. Plot includes travel to new worlds, intergalactic threats, run-ins with the Sentinels during their journey, and interpersonal struggles on the ships. Amidst the chaos of the DC universes and MARVEL universes, her powers have begun acting of their own accord, and in an attempt to locate the Box and open it once more, she has inadvertently pulled people from all over the world, gathering the in what appears to be Nanda Parbat. With no locals to confirm the city is even real, costumed heroes and villains alike are being pulled from their every day lives. In some cases their family and friends join them, but it remains to be seen if this is a blessing or a curse. While revealing their true location to be a room in the House of Mystery designed to look like Nanda Parbat, Pandora has recently shown herself, and her box is somewhere hidden in the room that functions very much like the real city. If it falls into the wrong hands the consequences can be devastating. Humans have a long history of fearing the things that they don't understand, so when the arrival of mutants, meta-humans and enhanced soldiers was made public it was no surprise to many that the humans reacted badly. As always there was those enlightened few who rose to the occasion and sided with the new arrivals. This led to the war with Apocalypse; his desire was to wipe out all of mankind and let those with the true power reign supreme. He was defeated five years ago by the X-Men, but some of those who still believe the way he did still live in the world. Many Mutants, Meta-Humans and Enhanced Humans have chosen to stay in hiding to keep from dealing the hatred they see in other's eyes. The ones that have revealed themselves publicly have been met with hostility; they were forced to register with the government, but secretly the Anti-Mutant group known as Friends of Humanity is the one getting the lists and they are using it to round up Mutants for some unknown purpose. [Thu 31 Dec / 12:57am] academywars Academy Wars *Rules*Application*Held and Pending*Cast List* Apocalypse~ a great disaster : a sudden and very bad event that causes much fear, loss, or destruction. His name certainly suited him. By the time Xavier and his team finally managed to stop Apocalypse there wasn't much left of the world. What was left was concentrated in one city, New York. The one human faction that exists in underground at Stark Tower and Xavier is working on rebuilding his school. Unfortunately in the quest to stop Apocalypse something went wrong. While Xavier was reaching out to heroes for assistance he reached too far and opened a portal to the other dimensions, so heroes and villains alike came through. The villains found their home with Lex Luthor at Metropolis Academy and the heroes have split up, some joining Xavier and some living in Stark Tower. There are several heroes and villains that have chosen to go it alone in this new world, but their future isn't promising what with the growing tension. What side will you choose? Can the world be rebuilt or will there be another war to end all wars? Academy Wars is a comic based fandom game that will accept characters from any comic series. comments

Maybe you were going about your daily life without a care in the world. Or, maybe, sadly, you'd died. Either way, one second you're in one place, and then in the next second, you're not where you used to be. Not in the same universe where that you called home...not even on Earth, anymore. You find yourself sitting in a white room, completely empty except for yourself. And then, someone walks in. They don't say much, just explain that you've been taken from your own world...and placed in an entirely different one. That's really all that they tell you. They then proceed to hand you a phone, tell you where you'll be living, and give you a small stipend to live on. Then, you're asked to leave, and told not to step outside of the city limits...if you know what's best for you. Once outside, you'll notice that you were in the basement of what appears to be City Hall...also, it's extremely hot out. Aside from that, it appears to be a normal, everyday city. Except for the roar of something coming from outside of the city that doesn't sound like anything you've ever really heard before...and wonder exactly where you've found yourself. Then, you notice a sign that reads: Welcome To Jurassic City! Enjoy your stay, and beware of dinosaurs!.
