"You haven't smelled any blood on him at all?" Jean pressed on, watching him as he fiddled with one of the few knickknacks she chose to keep on her desk for decoration (or for means of distraction). She just wanted to piece all of the pieces of this puzzle together or at least attempt to, anyway. However this, in itself, wasn't much to go on. If Logan had gotten a whiff of human fluids on Beast's person, that would've been all the proof she'd need to confront her fellow doctor on the matter. Be that as it may, Logan had only said he smelled of humans, which could've meant Beast was helping them, maybe?
No. That really didn't make much sense either, because if he was out, spending his nights going to the aide of others - why hide it? Something fishy was definitely going on here, but they'd need to find more evidence of any wrong-doing on Dr. McCoy's part before they could do anything. Innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz.
A small smile broke out across her face at Logan's following word. The sentiment was greatly appreciated. "Yes, but ever since," she began, but she abruptly cut herself off. There was no sense divulging into the past right now. Jean cleared her throat and continued, "Maybe so, but he's been infected with a disease that fundamentally alters a person's personality, as well as their behavior in general."
Popular theory was that if a person's will-power was strong enough, their personality might've remained just as it had been pre-infection. But that was all hearsay until they had further proof of this. Every single one of the people who had been infected had changed, albeit in different ways.
"If it makes you feel any better, I don't like it either," she admitted to him, the smile on her face fading somewhat. "But I will try to get to the bottom of this." Jean decided she'd try talking to the Professor first. If anyone knew anything about what Beast was up to, it would be him.
