The time it took him from making his hasty exit to check on the erstwhile Master of Magnetism and his hasty return to where the Brotherhood had gathered, perhaps for words of wisdom, perhaps to stage a silent coup, was indeed far too long. Through no fault of his own, of course, the old man was, well... old and these things took time.
Pietro was determined to see this through, if not out of blood loyalty then at least out of spite. And for the sake of his sister. He knew he had to make this work if they were to survive being pent up like this. The distance from his father made him realize what a death wish the old man had, for himself and possibly his offspring. Working out his frustration before putting on a face for the rest of the last of the Brotherhood, there was a small spot down the halls that led to the main room where the concrete had been pulverized to a powder by a few dozen swift strikes.
Pietro entered as if on cue to Sabretooth's thoughts, wiping the chalky dust from his hands and wearing a genial smile. Well, not so much genial than insufferably superior, as per his usual. After all, nothing's amiss and information is power.
And that's why the unusual appearance of Morro caught his first attention. "Oh, growl for me, Victor, show me that you care," he replied quickly to Sabretooth's inquiry, running through his thoughts at a breakneck speed and hoping thinking of several old Romany tunes at 220mph might keep the details from being blurted out by the nearby telepath.
