Jean just shrugged and took one corner of the sheet he was getting ready to spread on the bed, wordlessly helping him to change them. It was the least she could do. She didn't want their family to make any more work for the Haven people than they already had. She didn't want the people who worked here to come to resent the Greys or to feel burdened with them.
"Jean Grey." She took his hand, wondering what it would feel like, and shook it. She was only mildly surprised to find that it felt normal to her. "And I wasn't worried. I know you guys are doing everything you can for him. In fact, I don't know that the tubes make any real difference. At least, that's what the professor told me. He's physically fine, and I know they make it easier for you to care for him. But," she shrugged. Physical trauma wasn't what was keeping her brother in that coma and she knew it. She assumed Josh did, too. "But I really want to thank you for taking such good care of him."
If nothing else, it meant that she could avoid coming here herself. Maybe she should ask the professor if it would be possible to move Nate to a normal room. After her own experiences post-Flare, she hated hospitals. And this place reminded her of one, even if it wasn't of the large hospital variety.
