Ruth was settled, essentially quiet except to respond to Wisdom when he snapped the same question over and over at her.
"Yeah, Boss, we got time." She sounded completely at ease with the world, which was because she knew that time was ticking away but they were still on time. The timetable in her head was moving along at an acceptable pace. They would get there in time. Provided she didn't end up having to tack Wisdom's foot to the floor in order to make him take a moment. "'Ey Jamie. She's hurt."
The greeting turned into an awareness and Ruth said the words just like one would say 'it's starting to rain'. It was just something she became aware of. "Mobile. Pursued. Time is on her side for now. Dey're scared of her. Waitin' on 'elp. Dat lady got grit."
Ruth crossed her legs at the ankle and continued to wait on the Blackbird to be ready. Once it was time to go, she settled into the chair and leaned back as if she were going to go to sleep. That was the last thing on her mind though. She needed to get a closer idea of where Storm was rather than just her circumstances.
